Hey, I’m Ella!

Founder of MAEMOVE and a Clinical Pilates instructor. 

Movement has been my world since I was a kid. I grew up on the Central Coast and moved to Sydney at 15 to pursue full-time dance, earning a Diploma in Dance from Ev & Bow Fulltime Dance Training Centre. From there, I headed to New Zealand to train at the New Zealand School of Dance in Wellington, completing a Certificate in Dance and Performance before working across a few contemporary dance contracts.

 

Throughout my dance journey, Clinical Pilates was always in the background, helping me stay strong, mobile, and injury-free. Eventually, it became the main focus. I completed my Diploma of Integrated Pilates through Tensegrity Training under Liz Charmas at Phoenix Pilates, and I’ve been teaching since 2021 across the Central Coast, Newcastle and Sydney.

 

MAEMOVE was born out of the desire to create a method that blends everything I know and love — the precision and body awareness of Pilates, mixed with functional strength training that leaves you feeling empowered, not burnt out.

 

In class, I’m all about high-quality movement, real results, and creating a space where you feel supported and seen, whether you’re recovering from injury, building strength or just getting back into moving your body. I’m also constantly learning, evolving and refining the way I teach to give my clients the best possible experience.

 

And yes… you’ll usually be greeted by Olly, my (very friendly) studio sidekick. He’s an essential part of the MAEMOVE vibe and takes his role as studio mascot very seriously.

At Maemove Pilates, we believe Pilates should be intelligent, challenging and tailored to you. Our Forresters Beach studio is fully equipped with a reformer, cadillac, wunda chair, spine corrector and dedicated matwork space — giving you variety, progression and a truly complete pilates experience.

We keep our class sizes super small so you get personalised attention, hands-on support & smart programming that helps you reach your goals. Whether you’re here to build strength, improve posture, recover from injury or simply move with confidence, every class is designed to keep you progressing.

Our mission is to create a welcoming, results-focused space where pilates becomes a practice you enjoy and look forward to, every week. With a mix of equipment and matwork classes, you’ll experience improved strength, flexibility and alignment.
